The BBC is sending 35 people to next month's climate change talks in Copenhagen - creating as much carbon dioxide as an African village does in a whole year.
The corporation said its delegation of 12 presenters, along with a backup team of researchers, producers and camera crews, will spend up to two weeks in the Danish capital on expenses to cover the global summit.

Governor Sean Parnell today announced the appointment of Alaskans to state boards dealing with juvenile justice, suicide prevention, the Alaska Permanent Fund and arts and education.
Governor Parnell appointed Courtney F. Enright to the Alaska Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee.
The committee, with 15-33 members, is responsible for helping the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services strengthen and improve the state's juvenile justice system and social services for young Alaskans.

The protests succeeded in delaying the summit's opening day, and contributed to the collapse of plans for a new round of trade negotiations.
